Designed for those working in, or looking to get into, the resources and infrastructure industries, this short course will help you develop confidence in selecting hand and power tools as well as cleaning up.

Upon completion of this course you'll have knowledge in:

  • OHS/risk assessment
  • recognising common faults or defects in power tools
  • power tool maintenance
  • selecting power, hand tools and equipment appropriate for the work activity
  • using power and hand tools effectively in application process.

Learning outcomes

Develop the essential skills and knowledge in the use of hand and power tools.  Upon completion of this course you will have gained skills in OHS and risk assessment, power tool maintenance, recognising common faults and well as the effective use of tools in the application process.
