Learn to design and apply fundamental long hair styling techniques for weddings and special occasions.

This two session masterclass is designed by industry professionals to give make-up artists an introduction into hairstyling for weddings and special events. You will learn how to control the fluidity of hair and create fashion and red carpet styles.

Equipment

You will need to provide a professional hair dryer, brush set, sectioning clips and water spray.

Prerequisite

This course is aimed at professional make-up artists. You can continue your studies with Bridal Make-Up or Photographic Make-up.

Taught by Deanna Hewett

Deanna is a qualified Hairdresser, Cosmetologist, Make-Up Artist, and Cert IV Trainer, with over 35 years’ experience. From running her own academy, to managing a team of 20 at Myer, and styling for theatre productions, she brings diverse industry expertise to her teaching. Deanna’s insights into consultation and business are also an essential ingredient in her training. Deanna’s recent production credits include Kinky Boots and My Fair Lady.

Course objectives

You will learn to use the latest styling techniques to control the fluidity of hair, utilise natural colour or add hair pieces, create fashion effects for overall presentation.

This three session course has been designed by our industry professionals to give makeup artists an introduction to techniques for wedding & bridal parties.
