Professor Sam Fragomeni

Discipline Leader, Civil Engineering and Leader, Structural Mechanics and Materials Research Group

Sam is a Professor in Structural Engineering who has 20 years experience in the university sector. He started at Victoria University in 2007 and has served in various roles including Head of school, Director of Engineering studies and current as Discipline Leader in Civil Engineering.

His main teaching expertise is in:

  • Construction Materials
  • Engineering Mathematics.

His research interests are in:

  • High performance concrete
  • design and serviceability of concrete elements
  • fire performance of structural elements
  • sustainable building design.
