Research Information Co-ordinator
Margarita Kumnick has 20 years experience in information management. She joined the Centre for Strategic Economic Studies (CSES), now Victoria Institute of Strategic Economic Studies (VISES) in 1993 where she sits at the node of the Centre's information network, actively participating in all the Institute's projects, using her skills and experience to find and acquire new data and information for the Institute's projects and managing the stock of its increasingly complex information resources.
She is familiar with the structure, indexing and provision of information worldwide, nationally and locally, which enables her to assist in specifying the nature and type of information and data required. Subsequently, she is responsible for the collection and organization of this information and data, and facilitates access to it.
She also coordinates the Institute's publication program and assists in the preparation and publication of reports. This includes acting as in-house editor, reviewing, proofreading and finalising the presentation of research results, including books, research reports, journal articles for publication, and many other internally produced documents.
Margarita manages the organization of the Institute's conferences, seminars, workshops and forums for the dissemination of the Institute's research work. She also provides support and mentoring to PhD students, assisting them in their information requirements.
