Dr Khandakar Ahmed


Lecturer, College of Engineering & Science

Khandakar Ahmed completed his PhD at RMIT University in 2014. During his PhD he was an active scholar in the network research group of the School of Engineering, where he explored Data-Centric Storage (DCS) in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN).

Before joining Victoria University, Khandakar was a full-time lecturer with the School of IT and Engineering (SITE) at Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT) and a researcher at the Australia-India Research Centre for Automation Software Engineering (AICAUSE) at RMIT University.

In 2011 Khandakar received his MSc in Networking and e-Business Centred Computing (NeBCC) under the joint consortia of University of Reading, UK; Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and Charles III University of Madrid (UC3M), Spain. Khandakar completed his B.Sc. (Eng.) Degree in Computer Science & Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Bangladesh.

Khandakar has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journals and conference papers. His research interests include Software Defined Networking (SDN), Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Security and Big Data Analytics.
