Jade Haycraft is a multidisciplinary sport scientist researcher who currently leads the FIFA–Victoria University research team within the Institute for Health and Sport, with this work contributing to FIFA’s Electronic Performance Tracking Systems Quality Programme. She also supervises and co-supervises PhD and Masters students within the FIFA research team and the university’s partnership with the Western Bulldogs, mentoring research student candidates across both initiatives. In addition, Jade is an active member of VU’s Olympic & Paralympic Research Centre which aims to provide research outcomes that serve Australia’s high-performance sport community.

Before commencing her PhD at Victoria University in which she focused on physical talent development and talent identification in Australian Rules Football, Jade completed a Master of Strength and Conditioning at Edith Cowan University, and an Honours thesis examining warm-up practices for ski and snowboard cross athletes at Deakin University. Her applied experience includes sessional teaching in biomechanics and strength and conditioning, and high-performance strength and conditioning roles in elite swimming and VFLW programs.

Jade’s current research focuses on the quality evaluation of sports technology. She collaborates with industry stakeholders to develop evidence-based standards that guide the design, assessment, and implementation of technology across the sports industry.
