thrive* at Victoria University

A bold new way to experience wellbeing, connection and community.

thrive* is VU’s whole-community wellbeing movement.

It’s a mix of fun, year-round, simple activities that help you feel good, connect with others, and get the most out of university life — whether you’re brand new or have been here for years.

Think: walks, creative sessions, movement, chats, challenges, quiet moments, shared moments.

Nothing complicated. Nothing formal. Just ways to feel better, together!

Who is thrive* for?

Everyone.

Students. Staff. New starters. Visitors.

If you’re part of the VU community, thrive* is for you.

Why does thrive* matter?

Because university can be exciting, busy, inspiring… and sometimes overwhelming. thrive* makes it easier to find your people, feel supported and build confidence… one small moment at a time.

It’s simple and social, and it’s backed by wellbeing research.

How does it work?

thrive* activities run across all campuses, every week. You can drop in, join in, or just come along to see what it’s about. There’s no sign-up, no pressure and no expectations.

You choose what feels good for you. And you can also propose and lead a session if you want, too.
