Our facilities

We offer placement opportunities with over 350 sport industry employers. We will provide you with many other opportunities to develop real-world skills.

Our students enjoy and train in the best sports learning facilities in the Southern Hemisphere. These $68 million state-of-the-art sports learning and research facilities include an altitude hotel, exercise physiology, biomechanics, and motor control and biofeedback labs.

The Victoria University Whitten Oval Stadium is home to the Western Bulldogs Football Club and includes our Sport and Recreation Learning Centre and student-run massage clinics.

Our elite athlete program helps our students successfully complete their studies while training and competing at an elite level. Our student-athletes have competed at major local and international events, including the World University Games, the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.

Science in football congress

Victoria University’s Institute for Heath and Sport is hosting the World Congress on Science and Football (WCSF) in June 2019.

Held every four years, the WCSF sees 350+ international researchers and practitioners from all football codes present their recent work and research.

Research in sport & exercise

In addition to postgraduate programs offered by the College, our Institute for Health & Sport undertakes ground-breaking research, often in collaboration with leading sporting organisations.

The institute's research has a wide scope, encompassing institutional research in exercise science, active living, sport performance, sport in society, sport participation and sport business, in addition to health related research areas.
