From antiques and art to business vouchers and produce, Rotary are interested in all kinds of donations for their auction.

The Rotary Club of Footscray is seeking donations of items – ranging from vouchers to collectibles – for their annual dinner and auction.

Hosted in conjunction with the biennial Footscray Art Prize, a national visual art prize, the event features an intimate viewing of the Footscray Art Prize exhibition, three course meal, and an exciting auction where dinner attendees bid on donated items.

Previous auctioned items have included original artworks, boxes of wine, and a consultation with an architect.

All proceeds from the ticket sales and auction go towards the Rotary’s youth program in Footscray. This includes sponsoring the Rotary Youth Leadership Award and sponsoring local student attendance at:

  • camps
  • the National Youth Science Forum
  • the Model United Nations Assembly.

Each of their programs empowers young people, builds their worldly experience, and encourages self-learning and development.

"Our annual dinner aims to not only raise funds to help youth, but it brings communities together. After the challenges of last year, partnerships such as the Footscray Art Prize and events like this dinner are helping to rebuild community cohesion and harmony.”

– Jama Farah, President of the Rotary Club of Footscray

The dinner and auction will be held on Saturday 8 May at the Australian Croatian Club. Cost: $65 (includes a three-course dinner).

Proudly presented by Rotary Club of Footscray with the support of Victoria University, Maribyrnong City Council, and Footscray Community Arts Centre.
