The strengths of the PNG & the Pacific collection are: economics, development and trade, statistical data, governance and administration, language and linguistics, education, culture, society and history.
Radical Literature Collection
The Radical Literature collection is a useful research resource for the study of social issues related to radical groups in Australia. The majority of the material relates to the Communist Party of Australia.
Rare & Valuable Books Collection
The Rare and Valuable Books collection, also known as The Special Collection, contains mostly books about Australian literature, Australian history and Australian art. There are also some books about music, anthropology, local history and town planning, as well as few rare collector's items on European history and literature.
Ray Verrills Collection
The Ray Verrills collection is an essential research collection for the study of Australian literature or left-wing politics and philosophy in Australia from the 1940s onwards.
Regional Archive – Union of Australian Women
The Regional Archive contains the records of the Union of Australian Women (UAW): committee documents, conference proceedings, publications, materials relating to campaigns and activism, and biographical and historical records.
Ruth & Maurie Crow Collection
Ruth & Maurie Crow collection consists of printed material and working papers on various themes: suburban communities and neighbourhoods, social welfare, health, children's services, housing, transport, and women’s issues.
The Rationalist Collection
The Rationalist collection contains books, pamphlets and journals on a diverse range of subjects including Australian history, Australian politics, education, theology, economics, civil society and anthropology.
