Research symposium: Advancing research through networking

Thursday 23 November 2017

The National Measurement Institute (NMI) Australia and Victoria University invite you to the 3rd Collaborative Research Symposium (CRS): Advancing research through networking.

The CRS showcases new research designed to support industry, innovation and trade. Much of this research is conducted in partnership with Universities, technology providers, industry, legislators and accreditation bodies.

The event is a platform for NMI’s collaborative research activities across a variety of measurement fields, demonstrating the linkages NMI has established within the scientific industry and academia.

NMI and partners will explain the current and potential contributions to Australian industries that flow from these collaborations and the benefits that arise from maintaining Australian-based capability at the cutting edge of measurement science.

Networking, in terms of shared resources and expertise, facilitates many of these research programs. Participants will be invited to contribute to a post-presentation forum which explores future measurement science objectives relevant to their fields of endeavour.

The expected outcomes of the symposium are to:

  • create a broader awareness of the types, extent and value of collaborations
  • provide an opportunity for those engaged in collaborative development to present their research and explain the associated benefits
  • explore new opportunities for collaboration.
