As VU Library’s onsite library collection areas are closed, there is no access to view the exhibition ‘Your Country in Books’ in person, but you can still view an online display.
While you can’t view the books on display at this exhibition celebrating cultural diversity at Victoria University, you can still view some book covers online and access the lists of items to find the book associated with your country.
View the Special Collections Library Guide to find your country in books.
The lists of items reflect the breadth of information available through VU Library Special Collections and the diversity of resources in our library collections.
The lists of items for City Flinders, City Queen, Footscray Park, St Albans and Sunshine libraries consist of Special Collections items from various collections:
- John & Shirley McLaren Collection
- PNG and the Pacific Collection
- Ray Verrills Collection
- Ruth & Maurie Crow Collection
- Radical Literature Collection
- Timor-Leste Collection
- Sir Zelman Cowen Collection
As VU Special Collections are predominantly historical collections, some items on the lists are from our electronic book collections. You can access these items online.
If Special Collections items on the lists relate to your research such as a PhD or a published text, or particular interest, find out how to locate items through Library Search or the Library Catalogue. However, you will not be able to view items as Special Collections at Victoria University is currently closed to all visitors.
The lists of items for Footscray Nicholson and Werribee libraries consist of books from VU Library main collections and reflect the home country of students at Footscray Nicholson and Werribee campuses. Unfortunately, print books cannot currently be borrowed.
