Join Victoria University (VU) online for the Multicultural Matters Forum as we focus on 'rising to the challenge'.

This summer has been significant in terms of social and economic challenges. We have endured one of the worst bushfire seasons in recent history and the COVID-19 pandemic has alerted us to a rapidly changing local and global reality.

Join us as we bring together a panel to explore questions around social readjustment, community identity and building a more inclusive community in the face of adversity.

The panel discussion will happen online. Please register your interest to receive the link to the forum.

The event is brought to you by Victoria University and the City of Melbourne to coincide with World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

The panel will consist of:

  • George Megalogenis – author and political journalist
  • Nyadol Nyuon – lawyer, community advocate, writer
  • Veronica Pardo – CEO of Multicultural Arts Victoria
  • Sahil Puri – Residential Life Manager at UniLodge Australia
  • Lia Timson (moderator) – Deputy Foreign Editor, The Age.
