Over a hundred Year 7 to 12 students from Footscray City College will present their artwork in a final exhibition before merging with Gilmore College for Girls to become Footscray High School.

Featuring a range of mediums, including painting, printmaking, drawing, mixed media and collage, the exhibition showcases the College’s outstanding work in creative arts production and celebrates the artistic achievements of the student cohort.

In 2020, Footscray City College and the Gilmore College for Girls will merge to become Footscray High School as part of the Footscray Learning Precinct. This innovative project will champion excellence in learning and teaching in Melbourne’s inner west at all stages of education.

Exhibition opening

VU at MetroWest, 138 Nicholson Street, Footscray

Join students, teachers and families for this special occasion that honours the proud history of Footscray City College and looks towards the future to a new beginning.

Katie Hall, MP Member for Footscray, will officially open the show and there will be live music.

The exhibition will be on display until 8 November during VU at MetroWest opening hours, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
