Bali & Lombok study tour 2019

Take part in a VU Business School study tour to Bali and Lombok, from 22 June to 6 July 2019, and earn credits towards your degree.
Part of the VU Business School curriculum, the tour will give you credits for our Business Sudy Tour unit.
Applications are open to VU students who are Australian citizens, aged between 18 and 28 (as of 22 June 2019), with an interest in the following areas:
- community based enterprises
- sustainable tourism frameworks
- social enterprise development
- international trade and logistics processes
- global and local marketing practices
- community events designed to support local communities.
Funding & costs

This funding can bring costs down to $500, including flights, accommodation and transport. You may be able to cover these expenses with your HELP loan. Insurance will be provided.
Tour inclusions

The two-week tour includes:
- site visits
- presentations
- 20 to 25-hour internship component with a local partner.
Highlights
- Meet and engage with the executive chairwoman of Body Shop Indonesia in Bali
- Spend time with Sea Communities (marine-based voluntourism NPO supporting reef rehabilitation efforts)
- Learn from the Gili Eco Trust (on waste management issues)
- Work on projects for the Community Development Ctr, Sembalun
Course credits
If selected and eligible, you will receive:
- credits for our Business Study Tour unit
- additional credits for an optional Work Integrated Learning unit (BBB3100) at CERES in East Brunswick.
