Exercise training is conducted by senior students under qualified supervision. Staff, students and members of the public are welcome.
Sessions are delivered by accredited exercise physiologists and exercise scientists, while giving masters and undergraduate students the opportunity to gain practical experience as a component of their coursework.
Following recent renovations, the VUCER Clinic includes a clinical-grade gymnasium, exercise testing laboratory and consultation rooms.
Exercise science clinic
This clinic is suitable for healthy individuals of any fitness level, who wish to improve fitness, strength, performance, or general health and wellbeing. Exercise programs are tailored to the individual and are designed to achieve specific goals.
The exercise science clinic is free to attend.
Clinical exercise rehabilitation
The clinical exercise rehabilitation programs provide individualised, evidence-based exercise rehabilitation. The programs are delivered by accredited exercise physiologists – qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioral modification programs for the prevention and management of chronic diseases and injuries.
These programs are suitable for general health and wellbeing and for individuals with:
- cardiovascular disease
- neurological conditions
- musculoskeletal conditions
- respiratory conditions
- obesity and metabolic conditions
- depression and mental-health conditions.
The clinical exercise rehabilitation program costs $50 for an initial assessment and $10 per one-on-one class in a group exercise rehabilitation setting.
Each class goes for one hour.
The clinic is located at Footscray Park Campus, Building L, Level 3.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9am-12pm.
