This unit (UEPOPS337) involves the skills and knowledge required to oversee compliance of the maintenance quality system, using performance indicators, within a team environment. Quality control is a process through which an organisation seeks to ensure that significant variations in quality are kept to a minimum. Quality control in power generation facilities will focus on a set of procedures intended to ensure that personnel, plant and equipment operate efficiently. Competency in this unit requires the ability to formulate team aspects of the quality system and facilitate team quality systems. Individuals will, in general, work as an operator, in a power generation facility.
