This unit extends students’ knowledge, practice, and critical thinking skills relevant to contemporary, emerging, and advanced psychological practice topics. Learning will focus on extending students' foundational clinical competencies to engage in assessment, formulation, intervention, and interprofessional practice relevant to complex mental health presentations across diverse population groups. Learning will also focus on critical engagement with, and evaluation of, contemporary issues relevant to psychological practice. The content will include working with complex trauma and other complex mental health presentations, neurodiversity, addressing mental health stigma, and conducting telehealth/digital mental health interventions.
