International student orientation
If you’re an international student, you must arrive in time to attend a separate international orientation to meet your in addition to attending your academic orientation session before starting your course.
We'd also love you to attend the O-Fest social events.
Clubs & students groups
We have a variety of student-run clubs, including:
- Australian Rules Football
- international cultural groups
- free enterprise.
There are free music lessons, health information sessions and law competitions. You could dance at a ball or join an excursion or study group.
And if there's not a club or society to suit you, you can start your own!
Sport & fitness

- gyms with personal trainers and group fitness classes.
If you'd rather keep your spot on the sideline, you can volunteer your time to help out with sports administration, managing, coaching or refereeing.
While you’re studying at VU you’ll have opportunities to take part in all areas of university life.
