Victoria University's VenU restaurant and training kitchens will be the settings for several Melbourne Food and Wine Festival events next month, ranging from elegant high teas to degustation dinners for diabetics.
'Feasting in Footscray' is a series of local food events from 4-14 March conceived by Victoria University's School of Hospitality, local restaurateurs, Maribyrnong City Council and community organisations.
This is the first time that Footscray has been showcased in the Festival's 19-year-history.
Head of VU's School of Hospitality James Ballingall said Feasting in Footscray is an example of the many community events held at the University's new hospitality training facilities, located at its Footscray Nicholson Campus.
