Our Lead2Change (L2C) program is a free, interactive and engaging leadership training program for current students.

The two or three day program helps you become a more effective leader, builds important workplace skills and can boost your employability.

You'll be awarded a VU Extra Transcript on completion which you can include in your CV.

Program content

The Lead2Change program focuses on:

  • developing your self-understanding
  • personal goal setting
  • listening, connecting and communicating
  • negotiating and networking
  • team roles and dynamics
  • integrity and passion
  • leadership styles
  • building a community project.

Program duration

The program is delivered in both a two-day and three-evening session format.

The next program will be in late 2019.

VU Extra Transcript

To be awarded a VU Extra Transcript for the Lead2Change program you will need to complete:

  • the two-day or three-evening training program
  • a reflective journal during the program
  • 20 hours volunteering with VU Vollies.

Attending the Student Leadership Conference also counts towards your volunteer hours.

To have L2C recognised in time for graduation, make sure you submit your volunteer logbook by the following dates:

  • Mid-year graduation: 2 July 2018
  • End of year graduation: 29 November 2018.
