Student support counselling workshops

We offer free student workshops on common issues to enhance your learning experience. These workshops help to equip students with the skills, tools and resources to be able to handle the demands of university life.

They address various topics such as:

  • succeeding at uni
  • exam anxiety
  • emotional intelligence
  • time management & overcoming procrastination.

These workshops have been organised for individual students. If you are interested in a particular workshop for a group or class of students, please contact us and we can arrange that, subject to availability.

Exam assessment & support

We can provide specific sessions on study skills training such as adjusting to study, exam readiness, exam anxiety, goal setting, procrastination, and time management. These sessions could help you develop your skills and get the most out of your time at university.

Special consideration

You may be eligible for an alternative exam or special consideration if unexpected circumstances seriously affected your performance or prevented you from attending an exam.

If you require support for your application for special consideration from a VU counsellor make an appointment at a campus convenient to you by phoning +61 3 9919 5400. Counsellors at most campuses will have a 'drop-in' time each day during the exam period. This time can only be booked on the day.
