Changes at Melton and Sunbury campus

VU is finalising plans for the future of our Melton and Sunbury campuses. We hope to make the relocation as smooth as possible, with an information program for staff and students to provide further details.

Higher education courses will be relocated to our St Albans, Footscray Park or Footscray Nicholson campuses while some vocational and further education courses will remain at Melton.

Sunbury campus

Staff and students will be relocated from the Sunbury campus by the end of 2009. The only exception is students studying VET Diploma of Events Management. This course will be delivered flexibly in the Sunbury region until mid-2010, as it is not dependent upon services and facilities at the campus.

Student accommodation at Sunbury Hall will be available until the end of 2010.

All staff and students in the courses listed below will move from Sunbury to the nominated campus.

Melton campus

VU will retain ownership of the Melton campus as a vocational education community campus with several community facilities and agencies. The sports hall will continue to be available to local schools and community groups.

No current courses at the Melton Campus have been dropped. New and continuing students will still have the opportunity to study all courses on offer, some at Melton and some at other VU campuses.

All staff and students in the courses listed below will move from Melton to the nominated campus from the beginning of 2010 (or, in the case of two courses in the School of Education, from the beginning of 2011).

There will be no new higher education intakes on Melton campus from the beginning of 2010.
