As a new international student you must attend a compulsory orientation session before your course start date, from late January to early March 2020.
Your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) shows your proposed course start date. You need to attend one international orientation before this date.
International orientation provides important information from VU staff, students, government and community organisations about living in Melbourne and getting a great start at VU, including:
- support services for international students
- overseas student health cover (OSHC)
- safety
- your student visa rights and responsibilities
- facilities and services on campus.
You can also attend our Very Useful Information Sessions to learn more about adapting to life in Australia.
Choosing your orientation session
If you are in Australia, we suggest that you attend the first available international orientation.
If you're coming from overseas it’s a good idea to arrive at least a week before your international orientation. You'll then have time to explore Melbourne.
