Academic transcripts

An Academic Transcript is an official document provided by Victoria University. It represents a true account of results achieved in each Victoria University unit of study in which you have been or are currently enrolled - including units of study which have been granted Advanced Standing or Recognition of Prior Learning. You can obtain either hard copy or digital versions of the transcript.

You will receive one copy of your academic transcript, free of charge, when you complete your course.

If you would like a copy at any other stage during your study, you can order a copy for a small cost. You can access a list of your units and results at any time via MyVU.

Graduating students

If you are attending a graduation ceremony as a higher education student you will receive a hard-copy academic transcript at the ceremony and a link to the digital version via email, after you graduate.

If you are not attending a graduation ceremony you will receive your hard-copy academic transcript when:

  • you collect your certificate from your nominated VUHQ or
  • you receive your certificate in the post.

If you are graduating from a TAFE course you will receive your hard copy testamur and transcript by post after you have been conferred, as well as a link to the digital version via email.

Current & past students

Current students can get a free copy of their results for the semester, via MyVU, as an online statement of results. If you need to provide the online statement of results for Centrelink purposes, any VUHQ can stamp the printed copy for you.

TAFE students can obtain a statement of attainment, in addition to an academic transcript. The statement lists the units passed for courses recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework. It is produced on official Victoria University stationery with a unique security foil embedded in the paper.

Current and past students can purchase an academic transcript or statement of attainment (TAFE only):

Exchange & Study Abroad students

If you are enrolled in an Exchange and Study Abroad program you will have a transcript forwarded to your home institution when semester results are released.

Past students

If you are a pre-1982 VU student or pre-1991 WMIT student please allow up to four weeks for these transcripts to be produced.

Offshore students

If you are an offshore student, we will forward a transcript to your off campus administrator when semester results are released. Academic transcripts are sent to offshore students as per our agreement with partner institutions.
