Jade Scott: Building an integrated future for Australian healthcare
Healthcare leader Jade Scott has spent more than two decades transforming how Australians experience healthcare.
Since completing her Master of Health Science (Osteopathy) at VU in 2001, Jade has brought compassion, dedication and vision to every step of her career, creating environments where patients and clinicians can thrive.

Background
- Qualifications: Master of Health Science (Osteopathy), 2001
- Job: Healthcare leader, strategist and co-founder of ANSA House
Finding a passion for healthcare
Jade’s interest in healthcare began in childhood. Watching her father struggle with persistent back pain, Jade saw firsthand the relief and hope that skilled care could bring. That early experience sparked a deep desire to help people not just recover, but live fully and ‘help them get back to doing what they love’.
Jade chose VU for its strong reputation in Osteopathy and its practical, real-world approach, knowing it would prepare her to make a genuine difference. VU’s hands-on training, early patient care and collaborative learning environment gave Jade not only the essential skills, but also the confidence to believe in herself and pursue her dreams.
VU gave me more than just a qualification, it gave me confidence. It was where I realised I could actually help someone. And more than that, it was the catalyst for my love of human connection, building trust and communication.
Early career and building Western Region Health
After graduation, Jade stepped into the world of healthcare with determination, courage and an ambition to create something meaningful. That vision began to take shape when, at just 22, Jade purchased a rundown house, renovated it, and opened her first clinic. That humble beginning eventually grew into Western Region Health, one of Australia’s leading multidisciplinary clinics. Over more than two decades, Jade built a strong team, fostered a culture of trust, and created an environment where patients truly felt cared for.
As Western Region Health continued to grow, Jade became increasingly passionate about creating healthcare environments that prioritised collaboration, connection and long-term patient outcomes. Her leadership style centred on empowering clinicians, mentoring future leaders and building sustainable systems that allowed both patients and practitioners to thrive.
However, Jade’s journey was not without challenges. Long days, setbacks and the pressures of running a business tested her. Yet she never wavered, always motivated by the difference she could make in people’s lives. Her commitment to mentoring others also led her to establish GrowthRx, helping clinicians develop the confidence, skills and leadership to make a difference.
When I started, I just wanted to build a great clinic and look after my patients. The growth was never the goal, the impact was. The scale came as a result of doing things well, consistently, over a long period of time.”
Expanding a vision for integrated healthcare
Building on the foundations of Western Region Health, Jade has continued to advocate for a more connected and collaborative approach to healthcare. Through initiatives including ANSA House, she has brought together allied health professionals across multiple disciplines to support more integrated, patient-focused care.
Physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, osteopaths and dietitians work collaboratively to provide care that considers the whole person, addressing physical, emotional, cognitive and social factors. For Jade, the goal has always been to create environments where clinicians can thrive while improving accessibility and outcomes for patients.
ANSA is about closing the loop in healthcare, in fact, that’s what ANSA means, ‘loop’ in Latin — integrating mental health, physical health, corporate health and community care into one connected system designed to improve accessibility and outcomes.
This next chapter reflects Jade’s long-standing commitment to leadership, mentorship and innovation in healthcare, as well as her belief in doing things differently to create lasting impact.
Advice for future leaders
Jade encourages emerging clinicians and leaders to embrace courage, take risks and trust themselves even if it means ‘starting before you feel ready’.
Say yes first, back yourself, and then figure it out later. You’ll never have all the answers, and that’s okay. Focus on building strong fundamentals, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Jade reminds us that purpose, human connection and surrounding yourself with the right people are the true measures of success. For Jade, every challenge, every decision and every team she has built has been a step toward making a lasting, positive difference.
