Monica De Melo Freire

Monica has worked for Victoria University since 2017. Prior to her commencement in the First Year College in January 2018, she worked in the College of Engineering and Science.

As the Appointment Officer, Monica is tasked with facilitating sessional contracts for all first year units across all disciplines. In this role she works closely with academic staff and the Head of Operations to employ over 200 sessional staff per block, in order to ensure the appointment of high quality teaching staff for first year students.  

She is the first point of contact for sessional staff for all administrative and contract matters and has an inherent ability to grasp new tasks promptly and efficiently. 

With a background in customer service and hospitality, Monica loves to work with people and is a valued member of the team.
