About

Joe is an experienced broadcaster with close to 30 years in the radio industry.

He joined Victoria University in 2015 as a lecturer and teacher of Radio Production and Cross Media Practices. Within these units, he incorporated techniques and approaches such as:

  • modern presentation skills
  • podcasting
  • gamification
  • use of social media as a learning tool.

In 2018, Joe became a foundation member of the innovative First Year College, which provides a ground-breaking approach to engaged teaching at Victoria University. 

Joe was actively involved in redesigning and teaching Introduction to Screen Media and Online Screen Media. These now include interactive and engaging sessions and productive project work within the block model approach. 

Joe continues to bring his industry knowledge and experience to creative screen media students.
