Come Together art exhibition

Come Together exhibition, hosted by Footscray University Town, celebrates the outstanding women who contribute to the creative programs at VU at MetroWest. Attend the opening night or visit the art exhibition during March.

Hidden Figures screening

Attend a free screening of the 2016 film Hidden Figures, hosted by Footscray University Town, VU Research Training, the Respect & Responsibility Unit and VUPA.

Feminism At The Fringes panel

The VU Women's Collective panel discussion, Feminism At The Fringes, features some of Naarm/Melbourne's most inspiring activists discussing the 'who, how and why' of silencing.

Women in Data Science event

Conference

Join the live stream of The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference and hear about the latest research and applications from a host of female speakers. The annual conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide and support women in the field. The event is hosted by VU's Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Club.

"Are women holding back feminism?" discussion

VU Alumni Knowledge Network's panel discussion explores attitudes on gender pay gaps, equity in the workplace, and financial disadvantage for women.

VU Hanger concludes the Go Girl Summit series with an International Women's Day celebration event.

Find Our Voices, Reclaiming Our Spaces

For IWD 2018, VU students and staff are invited to join their voices through a unique art project. Join professional artists from Permesso Collective and help paint a mural on our Footscray Park campus. Participate at anytime during the day, no prior experience is required. The artwork aims to provide a platform and space for women’s voices and make a collective statement for a safer and more respectful world for all. The Victoria University Student Union (VUSU are providing refreshments for participants.

Find Our Voices, Reclaiming Our Spaces project is a collaboration between the Respect & Responsibility Unit, VUSU, and a range of student groups engaged in violence prevention work.

VU Dictum Society walk

Join VU's Dictum Society for a walk around the city's legal precinct to celebrate IWD and enjoy morning tea at the City Queen Campus after.

Guest speaker event with Jan Kavanagh

VU WISE Club invites you to join managing director of Optimum Recruitment, Jan Kavanagh, as she discusses the topic "What I wish I learnt at university to help me start my career". A light lunch will be provided after the event.
