Victoria University’s Master of Business Administration program has been ranked in Australia’s top 10 by The Australian Financial Review’s BOSS Magazine.
Every two years BOSS Magazine undertakes an extensive survey of Australia's MBA programs. The rankings differ from those compiled by the likes of The Economist and the Financial Times, with more weight given to what former students say about the value of their study. VU’s MBA has moved up five points in the rankings from 2013 and is currently ranked at number two in Victoria.
MBA Coordinator at the Victorian Graduate School of Business, Dr. Colin Drake said, “We are delighted to be recognised in the top 10 in the 2015 AFR BOSS MBA survey. Particularly pleasing was rating second highest for Victorian business schools and third nationally on student perceptions of value for money.”
“These rankings reflect the relevance of our MBA and DBA offering, as well as the values and expectations of our students and the wider business community.”
VU’s MBA is competitively priced, with some universities charging fees almost three times higher.
A central location at the City Flinders campus facilitates ease of study for the numerous MBA students that work and study part-time, easily accessible for those who work in the Melbourne CBD and close to multiple public transport options for commuters.
Graduates such as Maxwell Gratton appreciate the emphasis on face-to-face teaching. “After working in the sport and recreation field for a few years I returned to study an MBA to enhance my career prospects”, he says. “The MBA gave me a holistic understanding and appreciation of the functions of business across an organisation. We were encouraged to make connections with industry and apply learning to real business situations. The curriculum was well-rounded and the program had excellent teaching staff, great facilities and being based in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD was a bonus.”
