Clubs Assistant (1 position)

The Clubs Assistant supports the delivery of key components of the Victoria University Clubs Program. This includes club affiliation and re-affiliation, training, and events. You will contribute to student engagement through campus-based activities that promote wellbeing and student development.

Time commitment:  Approximately 15 hours per week. Hours can fluctuate and are mostly dictated by the academic calendar, university events and peak periods.

Afterward, the Project Leader suggests excluding this student from future sessions. How would you handle this situation?

Events Assistants (3 positions)

The Events Assistants support the delivery of VU student events and equipment bookings. You will be responsible for facilitating and providing campus-wide services that bring students together.

Time commitment:  Approximately 15 hours per week. Hours can fluctuate and are mostly dictated by the academic calendar, university events and peak periods.

International Events Assistant (1 position)

The International Events Assistant focuses on the delivery of events for international students. You will play a central role in facilitating events and activities that promote wellbeing and encourage student development.

Time commitment:  Approximately 15 hours per week. Hours can fluctuate and are mostly dictated by the academic calendar, university events and peak periods.

Leadership Assistants (2 positions)

The Leadership Assistants support the delivery of key components of the Victoria University Student Leadership Program, including the LEAD Program and Student Leadership Conference.

Time commitment:  Approximately 15 hours per week. Hours can fluctuate and are mostly dictated by the academic calendar, university events and peak periods.

Additional eligibility: Must have attended a minimum of two LEAD Program workshops.

LEAD Program Facilitators (5 positions)

The LEAD Program Facilitators lead the delivery of leadership workshops and program content, fostering the growth of aspiring leaders.

Time commitment:  Approximately 5 hours per month. Hours can fluctuate and are mostly dictated by the academic calendar, university events and peak periods.

Additional eligibility: Must have attended a minimum of two LEAD Program workshops.

Student Consultative Group Assistant (1 position)

This position coordinates the Student Consultative Group, facilitating student voice and decision-making across VU-wide projects.

Time commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week. Hours can fluctuate and are mostly dictated by the academic calendar, university events and peak periods.

Additional eligibility: Must have attended a minimum of two LEAD Program workshops.

Student Experience Grant Assistant (1 position)

This role coordinates administration and assessment of Student Experience Initiative grant applications and agreements, ensuring compliance with government legislation, university policies, and funding requirements. Working with student groups and university departments, this position ensures fair, timely assessment of applications and effective delivery of SSAF-funded initiatives.

Time commitment: Approximately 7.5 hours per week. Hours can fluctuate and are mostly dictated by the academic calendar, university events and peak periods.

Vollies Assistants (2 positions)

Vollies Assistants support the delivery of the Victoria University Vollies Program, including the planning and administration of events like V4U Day.

Time commitment:  Approximately 15 hours per week. Hours can fluctuate and are mostly dictated by the academic calendar, university events and peak periods.

The event is due to start at 9am. The Events Assistant urgently needs help to set up the Student Life stall and signage. Please describe what you would do.
