Zahed has an extensive tourism and hospitality background. He has worked as professor and senior researcher at several universities in various countries including Iran, Malysia, Thailand, Germany, Uzbekistan, and Oman.
He has over two decades of both academic and practical experiences, where he is on the Editorial board of a dozen top-ranked tourism and hospitality journals and is associate editor for several A-ranked journals.
His research interests include Crisis and Disaster management in tourism, organizational learning, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, cybersecurity, and gender issues in tourism and hospitality.
Zahed has published over 100 scientific publications in top-ranked journals including, Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, Sustainable Tourism, etc.
