Mr Nichols is a Health Policy Research Analyst with the Mitchell Institute. His major projects have focused on Australian policy activities related to self-care, social prescribing, mental and physical health, oral health and diet.

More recently, his work has focused on the need for structural reforms to address complexity and inefficiency in Australia’s health system.

Mr Nichols is passionate about health inequality and primary prevention, leading him to pursue a career in public health policy. He has authored or contributed to policy submissions, peer-reviewed papers and technical publications, and provides ongoing support to the Mitchell Health National Policy Strategy.
