VU offers 25 scholarships of up $10,000
Victoria University is offering thousands of dollars in scholarships to help mature-aged students kick-start their undergraduate degrees in 2018.
Twenty-five Opportunity Scholarships of up to $10,000 will be awarded to eligible students starting university after a break from high school, perhaps because of a gap year, family commitments or work.
The new scholarship program builds into VU’s revolutionary First Year Model. VU students are the first in Australia to study one unit at a time, allowing them the flexibility to design university studies around their other commitments.
Applicants must demonstrate achievement through leadership, community service or volunteer activities – particularly in Melbourne’s west – or previous high academic achievement.
Residents of Melbourne’s west experiencing financial or personal hardship are also eligible.
