Victoria University announces exciting new research fellowship opportunities

Victoria University (VU) has today launched the ‘Vice-Chancellor’s Research and Impact Fellowships’ expanding its investment in research at VU.
A first for the university, the Fellowships are available for researchers from early-to-mid career level to senior levels (B to E) with a strong research focus. The first round opens today until 11 June with up to six positions available in this first round.
“Research underpins so much in our lives and communities; it is why we value it so highly at VU. We are excited to further grow our expertise to have an even greater impact on our people, places and planet,”
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adam Shoemaker said.
Ranging from Postdoctoral to Professorial Fellows, the successful applicants will join a dynamic research community.
To be eligible work must align with six research priority areas:
- Innovating education & future-proofing Australia’s workforce
- Sport that inspires elite performance, community participation & healthy living
- Health & wellbeing solutions
- Transforming communities through policy, practice & governance
- Smart, sustainable & liveable cities
- ‘By community, for community’ First Nations Knowledge.
Successful candidates will be expected to conduct research of national and international standing, produce high-quality research outputs that reflect research excellence, pursue and secure competitive external research funding, supervise or mentor higher degree by research (HDR) candidates, and engage meaningfully with external stakeholders.
