Assessment & research assistance: City Library drop-ins
Drop in at the City Library every Wednesday, 1.30—2.30pm, for a librarian to assist you with finding peer-reviewed information resources for your assessments or research.
A librarian is available to assist all VU students (TAFE, undergraduate and postgraduate), academics and researchers. Sessions are free and appointments are not required – just drop in on the stated day and time.
Students can ask for assistance in:
- locating peer-reviewed information resources including selecting specialist databases
- keyword searching
- searching techniques
- referencing using APA 7th.
Researchers and academics can seek assistance in:
- using EndNote
- managing information
- using library resources such as research databases, including citation-tracking databases
- identifying top tier journal publications
- managing their research profile
- measuring research impact and getting published.
