About the program

Selection criteria

To be considered for this program, you must:

• be a current student at Victoria University Sydney
• have a good understanding of student and university policies
• have participated in or contributed to community engagement events
• possess desirable customer focus and interpersonal skills
• demonstrate the ability to work effectively in groups.

Volunteer responsibilities

• Volunteers agree to actively participate in SRG activities and complete assigned tasks in a diligent and responsible manner.
• Volunteers acknowledge that you are representing the University during their participation in the program and will act in accordance with the University's code of conduct and values. 
• Volunteers will maintain confidentiality regarding any sensitive information or personal data encountered during the program. 
• Volunteers agree to attend mandatory training sessions and orientation programs organised by the University to ensure they are adequately prepared for their volunteer work. 

Duration & schedule

• Volunteers agree to commit to the SRG program for a specified period, as determined by the University. 
• Volunteers will adhere to the agreed-upon schedule and notify the University in advance if they are unable to fulfill their commitment or require a schedule change.

Rights & benefits

• Volunteers understand that they are not entitled to monetary compensation or benefits for their participation in the SRG program.
• Volunteers will receive a certificate of participation upon successful completion of the program. 
• Volunteers will be eligible to apply for a paid Mentors, Student Ambassador and I-helper role at VU Sydney.
