Welcome to Victoria University Sydney! We hope that studying with us is one of the most memorable times of your life.

Orientation is a great way to start university. You'll get important course information and meet other students at social events.

Join a club to find out about all the programs and support services available to you at VU Sydney and participate in some fun activities.

Student orientation

New student orientations for VU Sydney are held face‑to‑face. You will receive an official orientation letter to your email around 4 weeks before your session.

You must attend your orientation. It helps you understand your course, university expectations, compliance requirements and the support services available to help you settle into life at VU Sydney. You will meet other new students and receive important information about health and safety in Australia, as well as helpful tips for living and studying safely.

All students on an International Student Visa (subclass 500) are strongly encouraged to attend the student orientation.
