Orientation is a great way to start university. You'll get important course information and meet other students at social events.
Join a club to find out about all the programs and support services available to you at VU Sydney and participate in some fun activities.
Student orientation
New student orientations for VU Sydney in 2026 will be held face‑to‑face. You will receive an official Orientation Letter via email around 4 weeks before your session, containing all details you need.
Orientation is mandatory. It helps you understand your course, university expectations, compliance requirements, and the support services available to help you settle into life at VU Sydney. All students on an International Student Visa (subclass 500) are strongly encouraged to attend the Student Orientation.

When: Tuesday 10 February, 9am AEST
Where: Wesley Conference Centre, 220 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW
During the session, you will meet other new students and receive valuable information from Water Safety experts, NSW Fire and Rescue, NSW Police, and VU Student Services. You’ll also learn how to make the most of your OSHC.
