Volunteer For You (V4U) Day 2015

Get involved in Victoria University’s largest volunteer event, ‘Volunteer 4 You’ (V4U) Day.

V4U Day is an enjoyable day-long event where students and staff of VU unite and volunteer their time and skills to various community-based projects in Footscray and surrounding suburbs. It’s a wonderful way for us to positively impact our local community and to show our appreciation for their continuous support.

Having been awarded the 2012 Best Event by the Australian Association of Campus Activities (AACA), we encourage you to register to participate in V4U Day so you can take part in the fun-filled, rewarding experience of volunteering!

We will provide:

• lunch
• exclusive V4U t-shirt and hat
• participation certificate
• a celebration event.

Activities on the day

Projects you will participate in as a volunteer include:

• working with children, youth, the elderly and people with disabilities
• physical labour and maintenance e.g. gardening and painting
• sporting events.

Organisations you'll be working with:

• Footscray Hospital
• Vision Australia
• Kids off the Kerb.

Organisations we hope to work with in 2015:

• Special Olympics Australia
• Seeing Eye Dogs Australia
• Lentil As Anything.
