This unit of study is a practical, interactive course designed to equip students with the relevant practical skills and knowledge to practice as a migration agent and to establish and operate a migration agency. The unit will cover topics such as ethics and professional practice, accounts management, business management, file management, interviewing, statutory interpretation, preparing applications and submissions, and advocating a case. Students will be provided opportunities to apply theoretical and practical knowledge to a practical simulated work environment and to observe professional practice within a migration agency context.
