Project Partnerships enables pre-service teachers to learn while working with mentor teachers and students on curriculum projects in a school setting.
Project Partnerships are school-university partnerships designed to enhance the learning of school students and preservice teachers.
Project Partnerships are the basis for a pre-service teacher's developing practice within the Bachelor of Education and the Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education program at VU. This enables pre-service teachers to express responsibility for school students and their learning while working with mentor teachers on a curriculum project or initiative. Project Partnerships provide pre-service teachers with:
- opportunities for curriculum inquiry
- curriculum development and teaching practice
- understanding of teaching in their major general studies.
Moondani Balluk Indigenous Academic Unit and the College of Education share Indigenous academic teaching and are linked through the MATSITI Project (More Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Teacher Initiative).
You can find more information regarding the specific partnerships at Project Partnerships.
