Bicycle hubs

Bicycle parking is available at all VU campuses.

Our City, Footscray Park and Footscray Nicholson campuses also have newly refurbished bicycle hubs with showers, lockers for your clothing and secure bike parking.

The City Tower bike hub is located in a secured area on Basement 01. 

It has parking space for 248 bikes, including charging stations for E-bikes. 

A female (room CTB108) and male (room CTB107) shower facility including hairdryers and straighteners along with 92 lockers adjacent to the bike parking. Each locker has a smart digital lock for daily use and automatically unlocks at midnight each night.

The Footscray Park bike hub is located in a secured area in Building PB1.

The Footscray Park Campus bike hub has recently been refurbished with new carpet and painting, and bench seating along the 136 new lockers. Each locker has a smart digital lock for daily use and automatically unlocks at midnight each night.

An ironing facility and two clothes airing units were also installed, along with a bicycle repair station complete with tools.

All existing bicycle racks have been consolidated into one, accommodating 91 bikes consolidated in room PB135.

The Footscray Nicholson bike hub is located in a secured area in Building N (Beanland Building).

The bike hub was freshly painted in 2020. It has 90 lockers with new, smart digital locks.

Complete the bike hub application form and submit it to VUHQ:

• City Campus: Level 1
• Footscray Park: Building M, Level 1 (Ground Floor)
• Footscray Nicholson: Building T, Level 1, Room T141/T146

Cost of using the hubs

You'll need an access fob to use the bike hub (you can use the same fob at Footscray Park, Footscray Nicholson and City Tower campuses). Access fobs and locker keys require separate deposits.

Access fob deposit: $25 (compulsory).

Locker key deposit: $25 (lockers are an option you can choose).

If you already have a bike hub access fob and just want to apply for a locker key, or if you'd like a locker key at both bike hubs, just complete the bike hub application form.

You can get your deposit back when you:

• submit abike hub deposit refund form and
• return the access fob and locker key (if you had one) to the Security office or the Facilities Service Desk, Footscray Park Campus, Room E101
