Fernando Scarmozzino

While working as a high school teacher in 1985, Fernando started work as a sessional lecturer at Footscray Institute of Technology (FIT). In 1990 he was appointed full-time academic in the Department of Mathematics, Computing and Operations Research. In this position, he lectured in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing and Operations Research.
He was also a Selection Officer, Course Coordinator, and International Coordinator for a suite of Computer Science and Mathematics programs from 1992-2005.
Fernando has represented VU in China, Malaysia, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Bangladesh, Nepal, Philippines and Singapore. He established offshore programs in Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. He also established the VU collaboration with Education Centre of Australia (ECA) in Sydney.
Fernando is a professional member of the Australian Society for Operations Research (ASOR), the Deutsche Mathematiker Vereingrug (DMV - Berlin) and the International Education Association of Australia (IEAA).
