Simone Wright is a distinguished executive leader in human resources, currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Victoria University since May 2022. With a wealth of experience, Simone has a proven track record in strategic HR management and driving significant organisational transformations. Her previous roles at Penguin, Pearson, and Pearson Asia Pacific saw her execute major transformation programs and design globally recognised leadership and wellness initiatives.

Known for her strategic vision and commitment to high-performance cultures, Simone collaborates closely with executive leaders to enhance capability, people, and performance. Her leadership style is authentic, focusing on operational excellence, and she leverages design thinking and technology to improve the employee experience. Simone's innovative approach has earned her a reputation as a positive disruptor in HR practices.

Simone oversees all aspects of People and Culture at VU, including recruitment, employee experience, development, and workplace relations. She is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Outside of VU, Simone is committed to continuous learning and personal development, actively mentoring others and serving on the Board of HeartKids and Chair of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee. Her career is a testament to her expertise, dedication, and passion for human resources.
