Youth comedy forum on mental health & employment

This event has already taken place.

Saturday 9 April 2016

Join us for 'Think it, work it!' - a youth comedy forum on mental health & employment, brought to you by the Centre for Multicultural Youth.

'Think It, Work It!' is a comedy forum organised by young people, for young people.

Multicultural young people can face many challenges in accessing employment opportunities, and accessing support for mental health issues.

Unemployment can be extremely stressful, with a confusing application process, and discrimination making it even harder. This can seriously impact on young people’s mental health, which in turn makes it harder again to find work. It’s a cycle that’s hard to break!

The Centre for Multicultural Youth’s Youth Advisory Group knows how important these issues are to young people. Come along to this event to meet professionals, build your networks, hear from other young people, get new information about supports available to you.

Plus…come along to just enjoy yourself! It’s National Youth Week after all, so to celebrate, we’re also inviting some young comedians to look at the lighter side of life!
