Presentation: Heirloom vs supermarket veggies

This event has already taken place.

Wednesday 11 September 2013

Have you ever wondered how supermarkets get market gardeners to grow the same vegetables all year round? What does this mean for our food when it is grown?

Have you heard about heirloom vegetables but didn't know what it means? What is a hybrid and what is so good about heirloom vegetables?

Come along and get all your questions answered in an entertaining presentation on the differences between heirloom and supermarket varieties. And remember, you are what you eat!

The presenter will be Keith Edwards, an educator and Sales Manager from the Diggers Club in Victoria.
