This event has already taken place.

Monday 1 July 2013

The Victoria Institute would like to invite students and staff to attend a research seminar exploring the diverse and complex ways in which education policies are mediated, contested and struggled over in schools.

Presented by Professor Meg Maguire of King's College, University of London, Policy Enactments: Theory and Practice will detail what is meant by enacting policy (as opposed to policy implementation) and critically describe the research design.

Professor Maguire teaches Sociology of Education at King's College, and is a Visiting Professor. She has published extensively on her research in the sociology of education, urban education and policy.

This seminar is supported through the Australian Government's Collaborative Research Networks (CRN) program.

Places are limited - please RSVP to [email protected] by 28 June 2013.
