
On Sunday 14 July two graduation ceremonies were held in Malaysia for our College of Business students.
Approximately 360 students graduated in front of their families and friends, and before a party of distinguished guests and Victoria University (VU) leaders at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.
The Chancellor of Victoria University, Mr George Pappas, presided over the two events and the presenters also included Dean – College of Business, Professor Colin Clark and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Planning and Finance), Professor Alan Farley. Distinguished guests included senior staff and academics from Sunway University.

The Valedictorians were Ms Chow Shiat Teen, Bachelor of Business (Marketing) and Ms Leong Yoke Kiau Master of Business Administration, who spoke about the graduate’s achievements and hopes for the future. Ms Lenny Cheah, General Manager for Sin Chew Online; and Ms Elizabeth Lee, Senior Executive Director Sunway Education Group and Sunway University also addressed the graduates.
Alumni gathered for a celebration cocktail function on the evening prior to the graduations and were able to meet with visiting university staff, to strengthen the ties that exist between the University and the Alumni community.
The President of the VU Malaysia Chapter, Mr Chua Teck Boon and Chancellor of Sunway University, Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah met and spoke with many Alumni members and heard about their achievements and career successes.
