Colin is a lecturer in the First Year College where he teaches law. He has been a barrister for 20 years. He did Articles at Grundy Maitland Solicitors for one year where he worked on aviation cases, specialising in Administrative Law and Torts. He also did Trust Law, Criminal Law and Family Law.
He joined the Victorian Bar in 2005, having successfully completed the Bar Readers Course for 9 months. Prior to that, he completed his law degree with Honours at Victoria University. He was also a student at London University undertaking their law degree for 2 years before transferring to Victoria University where he completed his degree.
Colin is a practising lawyer and is still a member of the Victorian Bar. While he now focuses on teaching at Victoria University, he undertakes a number of briefs in various areas of the law.
Before studying law, he worked as a commercial pilot running a flying school and undertaking charter work. He also worked in business, and before emigrating to Australia was a police officer in England.
