Victoria University (VU) student, Maria Makripoulias has been selected for a once in a lifetime trip to the UK courtesy of MyOE (My Overseas Experience), a company that looks after travelling professionals.
Maria, a final year Bachelor of Law/Bachelor of Arts student impressed the judges with her creative video submission outlining why she should be a part of the inaugural myOE UK University tour.
Ben Reynolds, part of the myOE UK Travel Scholarship judging panel said: ""As part of the UK Travel Scholarship we were challenging students to catch our eye with their applications and Maria's video clearly expressed her desire to travel and see parts of the world she is yet to see."
"It also demonstrated to the judges that she deserved a break from her text books and the demands of her final year of studies."
Maria will join 19 other students from across Australia and New Zealand being treated to a two-week tour of the UK during mid semester break. The students will take in the best London has to offer, including a West End play and the London Eye as well as trips to Stonehenge, Bath, Edinburgh and Manchester.
The unique scholarship aims to reward future professionals for their hard work as students by giving them an all expenses paid taste of life overseas.
